we would love to hear from you!

Send us story ideas about interesting people and places you’d like to see here on the pages of Wander Warren County. And let us know if you have photos to share. We’re thinking about a putting together a calendar of local scenes to sell as a fundraiser for a good cause. Wouldn’t it be fun to post the photos online and have everyone vote which ones would be published in the calendar, and which cause would receive the donation?

We would like this site to be a valuable asset to the residents and friends of Warren County, so let us know what features you would find useful, enjoyable, entertaining, etc. We have been tossing around ideas of what to include. Some of them are:

• A county-wide calendar of events, meetings, festivals, hulabaloos, etc. for schools, churches, civic organizations
• Williamsport, Seeger, and Pine Village High School Alumni info
• Some geneology stuff, probably focused on cemeteries (We love to roam around old, out-of-the-way graveyards!)
• A lost-and-found page for dogs and cats, probably with adoption info for pets that need a home
• Blogs by local writers who have some really “interesting” points of view

We’re already planning a page listing some “Wanders” or planned routes through the county. We’ll be suggesting scenic or historic routes, challenging bicycle rides, and spellbinding trails from one beautiful nature preserve to the next. We will include driving directions, and links to downloadable maps whenever they are available for a particular area. Google Maps is great but they haven't been quite EVERYWHERE in the world just yet.
